Croatian Coastal Cruises (Deluxe Superior)

Best Kept Secret Kvarner Cruise from Opatija

The Croatian Coastal Cruise fleet offers relaxing, scenic cruises around the glittering Dalmatian coastline. The fleet comprises of six different categories of ship. Day 1: Opatija

Arrive in Opatija, and check in from 1 pm this afternoon. Settle into your cabin and meet the crew and other guests. The ship departs for Krk, the largest Croatian island and en route stop to swim in the clear waters. Krk has diverse villages of various sizes, stunning promenades, dramatic rock faces with tiny islands and hundreds of hidden bays and beaches. This evening enjoy the many bars and restaurants. Afternoon wine tasting in Vrbnik village with bus transfer from Krk. Overnight in Krk town.

Day 2: Krk - Rab Island

After breakfast cruise towards Rab island. On arrival, there are the imposing stone walls and you'll see Romanesque church towers, churches, palaces, stone streets and ancient facades. Do not miss and try the famous “Rapska torta“ cake (the receipe is secret). Overnight in Rab.

Day 3: Rab Island - Zadar

Morning cruise from Rab towards Zadar, travelling by Pag island with its unusual moon-like landscape. Stop for a swim on the tiny island of Maun. Continue to Zadar where you may join a guided tour. The city was the metropolis of Dalmatia region for many centuries and its rich cultural heritage is visible at every turn. The Roman forum dates to the 1st century AD and the church of St Donatus dates to 9th century AD, the most famous Medieval basilica and the symbol of the city. Zadar has a great many restaurants and bars to enjoy. Overnight in Zadar.

Day 4: Zadar - Kornati

Today you will visit the National Park Kornati rich in cultural and historic remains including an old Ilyrian fortress, Roman villas and medieval fortresses and settlements. Kornati consists of 140 islands and reefs with many offering dramatic rocky coastlines. Dinner on board. Overnight in Telašćica Bay on Dugi Otok.

Day 5: Kornati - Mali Losinj

After breakfast there will be time for a swim before sailing towards Mali Lošinj Island. Mali Lošinj is one of the most popular islands in the Northern Adriatic, on account of its pine trees and clear blue waters. On arrival to Mali Lošinj, enjoy a walking tour followed by a visit to the Museum of Apoxyomenos dedicated to the ancient bronze statue of an athlete found in the sea near to the island. Later walk along the harbour or visit the neighbouring town of Veli Lošinj, 5kms away. The ship moors here overnight.

Day 6: Mali Losinj - Cres

After a morning swim the ship leaves Mali Lošinj Island and heads towards Cres. This is an unusually shaped island and its long and narrow land is covered with forests, vineyards and olive tree plantations. Cres and Mali Lošinj were once joined but the Romans dug out a channel in the middle, thus dividing them. Optional dinner in village Loznati (with transfer from Cres) where you can try the best traditional lamb specialties this island has to offer or spend the evening exploring the medieval city of Cres.

Day 7: Cres - Opatija

After breakfast the ship departs for Opatija. On the way, marvel at the breathtaking view of the famous Opatija Riviera arriving late afternoon. You can take a stroll along the famous Lungo Mare pathway towards the charming fishing village of Volosko, noted for its excellent fish restaurants. Afterwards, enjoy some farewell drinks on board whilst reminiscing about your cruise.

Day 8: Opatija

After your final breakfast disembark the ship in Opatija.
